Before we start to make cool animations, we need to master the basics.

These basics include:

  1. drawing things well ie not just stickmen
  2. understanding how to organise your ideas
  3. understanding the purpose of keyframes in animation software (not just Adobe Flash)
  4. understanding how to control frames on a timeline eg inserting, removing

Let's begin!

Your first challenge is to recreate this animation. The 4 videos below are short tutorials covering everything you need to know to be successful in this first task. It is your choice if you want to watch the videos or not. Each video has an optional Study Task and completing these tasks will ensure your success in the main challenge.
