The theory component of the course will introduce you to how computers store, process, display and communicate digital data. It will discuss data security issues and ethical issues relating to using computer systems. It will also introduce typical hardware and software used by computer systems and give an overview of approaches to computer programming.
Many of the concepts covered in the theory component are encountered in the practical component, and vice versa. As such, you have a great chance to make the unfamiliar more familiar which will set you up for success in the final exam.
