Phase 1 - content development tutorial
In this project, you will design a web page to promote a product.
In Phase 1, you will follow a video tutorial introducing you to Adobe Illustrator.
Create a project folder called Product Promotion and follow the video.
If you have time, mess around with the design and see what other Adobe Illustrator tools and effects you can discover.
Phase 2 - Your Idea
Now that you have some Illustrator skills, it is time to think of a product that you would like to promote.
It could be a new version of something that already exists in the world eg
- a smartphone
- a flatscreen television
- a dog collar
- a car
or, it could be something that you are introducing to the world for the first time eg
- Chocostick Fantazy - a new taste experience!
- SmartBone - a bone for your dog that turns red if your dog has a fever!
- Fridge Frog - a fridge magnet that croacks when an item in your fridge is about to expire!
- Luminous Laces - shoe laces that glow only when its dark!
Your idea can be fun, useful, wacky, ridiculous... but it should be something that has a target audience eg teenagers, mothers, old people, athletes...
Turn your idea into an image using Adobe Illustrator. Save it as a .svg file in your project folder.
Phase 3 - Web Page
Download the template a save it in your project folder.
Open it in a browser and a text editor.
Use splitscreen if you know how to.
Design a webpage using your skills!
Phase 4 - Presentation
You will present your product to your class. Your presentation should:
- have a title slide - introduce yourself and your project
- have a product slide - introduce your product
- have a slide with a screenshot of your webpage - introduce your webpage
- have a slide showing some CSS
- have a slide showing some HTML
- have a slide showing any other interesting thing about your project (optional)
Your slides will only contain images.
Use Presenter Notes to help you prepare what you want to say about each slide.
Your presentation should be between 2 and 5 minutes long.

Submit your project folder as instructed by your tutor.
