Focus 5 - The Rotate Tool

This tutorial will introduce you to the rotate tool in Adobe Illustrator. It is a very useful tool but nobody knows how to use it!

This tutorial will also introduce another cool feature of Illustrator which is how to duplicate the last step.

Follow the steps below and let's make a cool logo. Be creative - you can use your own colors and designs.

You don't need me to tell you, do you?

Use your Illustrator skills (shapes, pen tool, coloring etc) and the rotate tool to create a character wearing a shirt with a cool logo on it.

Be creative. Your character and logo do not have to be exactly the same as the one in the tutorial.

You can adapt this character if you want to:

It is an svg file and you can open it with Illustrator.

When you save an Adobe Illustrator file, the format is .ai

Save your file as castle.ai - this is your project file.

Let's also save the image so that we can post it onto instagram or Facebook.

Export the image in jpg format and save the image as castle.jpg in your project folder.

Submit your project folder as instructed by your tutor.
