This is the rubric for the individual contribution to the team project.

Rubric

A

• The team member communicated positively in the language of the classroom during the project period.
• The team member accepted responsibility for at least two pieces of major content development, one of which must be a webpage. The other can be, for example, development of an image, a video, an audio file, a poster etc.
• The team member kept a weekly diary and followed the weekly diary instructions accurately.
• The team member's individual project folder stored all of the individual's project files at submission and check-in times, including the project diary.
• The team member created a screencast and discussed in detail his/her web page design. This can include a commentary on any particular part of the design that was challenging to create ie you can discuss Javascript code, or a Photoshop file, or how you made audio and how you included it in the webpage. The screencast (or a link to the screencast) is stored in the individual's project folder.

B

• The team member usually communicated positively in the language of the classroom during the project period.
• The team member accepted individual responsibility for at least one piece of major content development eg development of an image, a video, a webpage, an audio file etc.
• The team member kept a weekly diary and follwed the weekly diary instructions accurately, although some instructions may have been missed.
• The team member's individual project folder stored most of the individual's project files at submission and check-in times.

C

• The team member usually communicated positively in the language of the classroom during the project period.
• The team member accepted individual responsibility for at least one piece of major content development eg development of an image, a video, a webpage, an audio file etc.
• The team member kept a weekly diary but it was not detailed enough ie it did not follow the weekly instructions carefully.
• There is not enough evidence in the individual's project folder of a commitment to significant contribution to the project.

This project achieved C.

A good attempt was made at creating a home page with a menu, a slideshow and images.

An attempt was also made at creating a Javascript donation widget.

The team took it easy after that. They forgot to check the rubric.

They had time to complete the Campaigh video and Donation page but chose to take it easy.

All students kept an individual project folder with their .psd and .html files, some of which are visible here.

Students' weekly diaries were poor.

The individual grades for this project were also C.

Team JSJ

This project achieved A.

This project is extremely creative.

Each student contributed to the content that was designed for the site and the html/css/javascript to design each page's layout.

The student designing the Javascript voting form really struggled with it! It took a week to figure out with teammates' help.

Each student kept an excellent weekly diary with screenshots of their work, links to resources they used and a description of what they had been doing, including challenges they faced and challenges they overcame.

Each student kept their own work organised in a personal project folder, too.

Individual grades were also A.

Aurora coffee

This project achieved B.

There were 4 students in the team.

The idea is quite original and one of the students managed to develop her Illustrator skills making the logos.

The web page structure is very good. The team could have used Photoshop to work on other images rather than just using one taken from the Internet.

The student diaries were very good.

Each student kept their own work organised in a personal project folder, too.

Most of the individual grades were A.

The Prefix Group

This project achieved B.

This project is extremely creative and original. The web design is all of their own work. They used their basic skills to create something engaging and interesting.

Each student contributed to the pages in the site. There is no menu! You have to click on the slideshow to access other pages.

However, there was no effort to include an interactive Javascript page. The boys ran out of time.

Two of the team members kept excellent weekly diaries.

Jacky got an A for his individual work. He tried so hard to use CSS for the blur and text effects. He also contributed a lot to the storylines and video production.
