Photoshop is an application that allows you to manipulate digital images.

It uses the concept of layers. Multiple images can be layered together to create a single, composite image:

There are 5 layers in this composition.
Each layer stores some content eg text or an image.
The contents of a layer can be hidden.
Images can be resized, rotated, moved etc
Layers can be reordered.
In Photoshop, the Layers Panel should always be open!

This course will introduce you to some of the basic features of Photoshop and concepts of Digital Graphic Design.
